Leshan is a final year student at Cumbria University UK taking Masters in Data Analytics. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business administration from Jemo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), he also holds professional certificates in Windows server 2016 and Java Programming from Computer Pride College Nairobi. Additionally, he is a holder Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Section 4. Leshan was a key success for IDEMIA (former Safran Morpho) in rolling out major technology solutions within Sub- Saharan African, he has managed accounts and build new business streams within Sub-Saharan Africa for financial institutions, mobile operators and government. He has so far been consulting for global organizations providing similar services within the region.

Prior to moving to technology space, Leshan as a seasoned and successful senior banker with over 8 years of experience in various senior capacities and in different locations within East and Central Africa. He was vocal in the establishment and implementation of major social protections programs in East Africa (HSNP, Inua Jamii, WFP & UNHCR cash transfer) with respective governments and collaborative partners like FSD, DFID, Worldbank, United Nations among other organizations. He has in-depth experience in project management covering digital banking, transaction banking, lending, product management and retail banking as well as providing financial services to social protection beneficiaries. He previously worked for Equity group in special projects department, International Bank of Somalia (IBS) as General Manager business, Pangea as East and Southern Africa sales manager and currently consult for Tech5 as digital solutions lead within Sub-Saharan Africa.
